Always wanted to stay in this magnificent hotel after being dazzled by the lobby on my last visit to Rome. Despite website saying there were renos when I booked in March I was hoping the internals would be done by mid July. The lobby was long & narrow & rather unimpressive. I had requested a room with an outlook & not looking at a wall as I am a bit claustrophobic. I booked a city view. When we were taken to the room it faced straight at a wall which reception tried to tell me was the side of a building & therefore that was the city view! After a bit of negotiation & waiting we were given a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking Republica which was gorgeous. Prior to arrival we had requested a scale be placed in our room as we needed to weigh our luggage - Rome was our last destination before home. On arrival we were told there were no scales in the hotel. Hard to fathom in a 5* hotel but they said they had a small hand held luggage weighing device they would lend us. When we saw the room there was in fact a gorgeous scale in the bathroom which I suspect all rooms had. The breakfasts were fabulous & served until 11am - very civilised. The room was spotless & well cleaned daily. My only other comments were - we discovered the pool is closed until 10 am which was very disappointing considering it was one main reason we stayed there as I like to do laps before breakfast and the room service night menu was pathetic. We arrived back one night at midnight after a concert & were starving (all nearby restaurants were closed) & there was virtually nothing we could eat (my partner is dairy/gluten free). Menu attached. I have never seen such a woeful room service menu anywhere let alone in a top notch hotel. Other than the front desk “bureau of misinformation” the staff were lovely & very helpful. The building itself is divine in a great location so hopefully post renos it will be the Palazzo it deserves to be.

The hotel has to be the most incredible hotel ever. Exceptionally clean, friendly and knowledgable staff, fantastic breakfast, I would never stay anywhere else in Rome, I just couldn't now I have experienced what I have here. Room was beyond unreal, and seriously, nothing is too much for the staff here. They go above and beyond and the level of service is phenomenal. I'm talking taking your shopping bags from you and delivering them to the room, booking you restaurant reservations wherever you want to go, recommending shops and sights to see. For first class service and an exceptional experience, this is the place to go. You are treated like royalty.

It was by far the best hotel we've been in for last 2 years I guess. We do travel a lot but I really can say that this hotel is totally worth the amount of stars it has. I have absolutely nothing to say negative. From the arrival until last minutes in the hotel it was a pleasure and really great experience. Staff was more than helpful, they had no problem with anything you asked for. Room was extremly clean, breakfast was just amazing, room service and food in hotel was briliant as long as drinks and snacks in lobby bar. Thank you for an amazing birthday weekend, wish you the best.

Anantara Palazzo was one of the best hotels we have stayed. We were delayed and arrived late near midnight, however the staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The roof top pool and bar were a highlight. A amazing hotel overall. Perfect location. There was a minor issue, however, Laura (sorry if spelt wrong) - the customer relation manager went above and beyond to assist us. She was the perfecto person for her role. Very pleasant, understanding and a great help. She is a big credit to Anantara Palazzo. Grazie Mille.

Loved the stay, highly recommend it for everyone coming to Rome. Very close to the Rome termini station. You’ll find the the staring point for the tourist bus in a walking distance to you. The staff were literally amazing. They would have welcomed us every time we get in or out of the hotel. I won’t specify a name of a specific staff because all of them were great. Finally, the rooftop restaurant is AMAZING!!!.
